Recognizing the fragility of those who enter its doors, for over 16 years, the Lotus House Women's Shelter has addressed the gender specific needs of women, youth and children by providing enriched, trauma-informed, supportive services, educational support, job readiness and other tools and resources, including deep protective factors for children, to help break the continuous cycle of violence, abuse, victimization and poverty, all of which lead to homelessness.
