THE NEED FOR UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE

Access to healthcare in this country is inextricably tied to an individual’s income and status. Inevitably, poor economic conditions such as high healthcare costs, in combination with rising housing costs, unemployment rates, and stagnant wages have exposed already burdened populations to greater vulnerabilities. By establishing a universal healthcare system, our most vulnerable can receive the proper care and treatment they deserve, while combating one of the root causes of homelessness.
